Woah, Bangladesh is really giving India a run for its money! It’s no secret that India has been the powerhouse of South Asia for years, but Bangladesh is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with. With their booming economy and rapidly growing population, they’re proving that they can hold their own against the big boys. From infrastructure improvements to technological advances, Bangladesh is showing that it’s not afraid to take on the challenge and come out even stronger than before. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out in the future - one thing’s for sure though: Bangladesh isn’t backing down anytime soon!
Is Bangladesh Stronger Than India? [Solved]
No doubt about it, Bangladesh has come a long way! In just half a century, its GDP skyrocketed from $4 billion to an impressive $416 billion. That’s an incredible 100-fold increase! Plus, the per capita income is now at a solid $2,500 - higher than India’s. Wow!
Geography: Bangladesh is located in South Asia, bordering India to the east, west and north. It has a total area of 147,570 square kilometers and is the world’s 8th most populous country with a population of over 166 million people.
Economy: Bangladesh has one of the fastest growing economies in the world with an average GDP growth rate of 7% over the past decade. The country’s economy is largely dependent on agriculture and exports such as textiles, leather goods, jute products and seafood.
Infrastructure: Bangladesh has made significant investments in infrastructure development over recent years including roads, railways and ports which have helped to improve connectivity between cities and regions within the country as well as with neighboring countries such as India.
Trade Relations: India is one of Bangladesh’s largest trading partners accounting for around 20% of its total trade volume in 2018-19 fiscal year according to data from Ministry of Commerce & Industry (India). The two countries have also signed several bilateral agreements aimed at strengthening economic ties between them including a Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) which came into effect in 2013.
Security Cooperation: India and Bangladesh share close security ties due to their shared border which makes it important for both countries to cooperate on issues related to terrorism, illegal immigration and drug trafficking among other things. In recent years both countries have held joint military exercises aimed at enhancing their defense capabilities
