Eren’s days in the 104th Training Corps had a traumatic effect on him, which becomes clear when his comrades bring it up. He recalls in a flashback how the grinning Titan devoured his mother.
Eren’s Mother: Eren’s mother is a mysterious figure in the Attack on Titan series. She is only seen briefly in flashbacks and her identity remains unknown. She was killed by a Titan during the fall of Wall Maria, leaving Eren with a deep hatred for Titans and a desire to join the Survey Corps to fight them.
Titan Transformation: After his mother’s death, Eren discovers he has the ability to transform into a Titan himself, giving him immense strength and power that he uses to fight against other Titans.
Founding of Paradis Island: After discovering his powers, Eren joins forces with Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert to form an alliance known as the Survey Corps which helps protect humanity from Titans by founding Paradis Island, an isolated island where humans can live safely away from Titans.
War Against Marley: In later seasons of Attack on Titan, it is revealed that Marley is responsible for creating the first Titans and using them as weapons against humanity in order to gain control over Paradis Island and its resources. This leads to an all-out war between Marley and Paradis Island which ultimately results in victory for Paradis Island thanks largely due to Eren’s leadership skills and strategic planning abilities as well as his newfound power as a Founding Titan capable of controlling other titans at will
