Sup, iam Pamela Trippel, Hope you’re having a great day!
Wow, it’s hot out there! With temperatures reaching the high 90s, it’s no wonder people are looking for ways to cool off. But when the heat index is in the triple digits, even a dip in the pool won’t do much to beat the heat. That’s when you know it’s time to break out those fans and air conditioners - degrees hot can be unbearable!
What Degrees Is Too Hot? [Solved]
Zach Schlader, a physiologist at Indiana University Bloomington, says 35 °C (or around 95 °F) is the absolute limit of human tolerance. Anything above that and your body won’t be able to cool itself off enough to keep its core temperature in check. So, it’s best to stay out of the heat if you can!
- Celsius: A temperature scale where 0°C is the freezing point of water and 100°C is the boiling point of water.
- Fahrenheit: A temperature scale where 32°F is the freezing point of water and 212°F is the boiling point of water.
- Kelvin: An absolute temperature scale where 0K is absolute zero, or -273.15°C, and 273K is the freezing point of water.
- Rankine: An absolute temperature scale where 0R is absolute zero, or -459.67°F, and 491R is the boiling point of water at sea level atmospheric pressure (14.7 psi).
It’s scorching out there! It must be at least 90 degrees. I’m melting! It’s so hot, you could fry an egg on the sidewalk. I don’t know how people can stand it - it’s like a sauna!
